Acclaimed Political Satirist Will Durst

February 21 - 23

With the sacred cows begging to have their pomposity punctured, the world cries for a man with the aim, strength and style to hit them where it hurts the funniest. Will Durst is that man. Described as “the thinking man’s comic” by The Oregonian, he transcends party ties, having performed for 3 elected presidents, (Bill Clinton, George HW Bush, Al Gore) and entertaining at both a Mayors Convention and Governors Conference. As current as the latest Oval Office 4 am tweet, Durst is a self- described Raging Moderate, specializing in “comedy for people who read or know someone who does.”

Of his acclaimed Off- Broadway show, “The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing,” the New York Times said “Durst is at his sly savvy best. Highly recommended.” The Epoch Times: “A comic and performance tour- de- force, Durst attacks both the left and the right and hits the bulls eye every time.“ Fox News: “A great political satirist.” The New Yorker: “Durst has perfected a verbal jitterbug of comedy.”

While Durst currently tours two one-man shows, “Durst Case Scenario: Midterm Madness” & “BoomeRaging: From LSD to OMG,” he finds time to write a weekly nationally syndicated humor column, voice commentaries for fifteen radio stations, and perform hundreds of comedy shows in theaters, clubs, and banquet rooms around the globe every year.

His work has been published by National Lampoon, George Magazine, The New York Times, the Atlanta Journal- Constitution, the Las Vegas Review- Journal, the Milwaukee Journal and many other journals and reviews. He was also a regular columnist for both the San Francisco Chronicle and the San Francisco Examiner and has written a regular column for The Progressive Magazine for the last 20 years.

Durst has told jokes in 16 countries, written 4 books, released 5 CDs, appeared on television over 800 times, including HBO, Showtime, CNN, A & E, BBC, CBC, Greek, Scottish, French and Australian TV and many more. He’s been fired by the San Francisco Examiner twice and PBS three times.

Hobbies include the search for the perfect cheeseburger while his heroes remain the same as when he was 12: Thomas Jefferson and Bugs Bunny. And despite universal reproach, he continues to squeeze ketchup on his bratwurst.

Reno Tahoe Comedy offers a full bar with no drink minimum and nightly drink specials in a beautiful, smoke free theater setting. Please call 775-322-LAFF now to book your group or corporate event.
